Rolls-Royce unveils second-generation Ghost sedan; price starts at Rs 6.95 crore

The British luxury carmaker Rolls-Royce on Wednesday has unveiled its second-generation Ghost sedan, which would be available in India in 2021. The new Rolls-Royce Ghost sedan will be available at a starting price of INR 6.95 crore (ex-showroom).
As the carmaker claims, this is the most technologically advanced Rolls-Royce so far.
The second-generation Rolls-Royce Ghost comes equipped with a completely redesigned Planar Suspension System, new LED and laser headlights with more than 600-metre illumination range. It gets Illuminated Fascia featuring Ghost nameplate surrounded by more than 850 stars.
The new Ghost sedan is powered by 6.75-litre, twin-turbocharged V12 petrol engine, which churns out 570 PS of power and 850 Nm of torque. The car gets all-wheel drivetrain and all-wheel steering. As Rolls-Royce claims, the redesigned Planar Suspension System incorporates an upper wishbone damper unit above the front suspension assembly, offering a stable ride.
The five-link rear axle benefits from the self-levelling high-volume air suspension technology, claims Rolls-Royce. The second-generation Ghost is based on the Rolls-Royce proprietary aluminium spaceframe architecture, which also underpins the Phantom and the Cullinan.
Among other features, the car gets vision assist, day and night-time wildlife and pedestrian warning, a four-camera system with a panoramic view called alertness assistant, Wi-Fi hotspot, self-park etc.
